LÝRA is a professional string ensemble of choice for concerts, recordings, weddings, 

gatherings, grand openings, and all occasions, based in Reykjavík, Iceland.

We are all university educated and have toured across Europe, Australia,South and North America.

With years of experience performing together, members of LÝRA have worked with musicians such as Björk, Ólafur Arnalds, Aquilo, Daði Freyr, Spiritualized, Steindór Andersen, Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson, Árstíðir, Anneke van Giersbergen, Of Monsters And Men, Bloodgroup, Heidrik, Kaleo, Hafdís Huld, Júníus Meyvant, Snorri Hallgrímsson, Lára, Seabear, Sóley and JFDR and have recorded for everything from Samsung commercials to BAFTA-winning TV soundtracks.
